The amps are warming up, the guitars are tuned and ready to go and the band have landed in town.
The Dead Daisies arrive off flights from New York and LA today and go straight in to rehearsals for their Australian tour. Marco Mendoza, Dizzy Reid, Richard Fortus, David Lowy, Jon Stevens and new addition, drummer John Tempesta will start the preparations for a tour that sees them kicking off with a show in Adelaide on Thursday night.
Marco Mendoza who rejoins the band once more is delighted to be back in the fold. "I’m looking forward to hanging with my Dead Daisies family! Great music and great times!!"
The Band will be making an appearance on national TV on the Today Show on Channel 9 tomorrow (Tuesday) followed by appearances on Channel 7’s the Morning Show and the Daily Edition this coming Wednesday.
The debut album hits all over Australia on Friday with future classic tracks like ‘Lock N’ Load’ which features Slash, ‘It’s Gonna Take Time’ and ‘Washington’ among a set of songs which have already thrilled radio stations across the USA and UK.
The tour, which sees the band play among other stops Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart also sees the Dead Daisies share the stage with some great Australian acts. Jimmy Barnes headlines at Day On The Green and Taronga Zoo, King Of The North support at Adelaide while Jackson Firebird join the Dead Daisies in Tasmania, Melbourne and Sydney.
