This fast paced track takes you straight to the heart of great rock n' roll! These rock vixens take no prisoners with their approach to their craft - No lemon, No salt, No chaser. Hailing from Melbourne, Tequila Mockingbyrd are that high energy punch, that will hit you from the first explosion of sound, until long into the after party.
On December 11, they release their new single 'I Smell Rock & Roll' from their highly anticipated upcoming album, due for release in 2016. ‘I Smell Rock & Roll’ was recorded at Lighthill Sounds Studios and produced by Ricki Rae. This track is a heavy, foot-stomping belter, best enjoyed whilst driving, and written whilst imagining what the Lynx fragrance ‘Rockstar’ would actually smell like. Lingering in the air will also be the opportunity to sample their new fragrance 'I Smell Rock & Roll', specially created by the band – I smell musk overtones!
Tequila Mockingbyrd are Estelle Artios (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Jess Reily (Bass, Backing Vocals) and Josie O’Toole (Drums, Backing Vocals). Now, rapidly becoming known for their explosive live shows and 'punk' rock sound. Loaded with an arsenal of catchy riffs and memorable choruses, a Tequila Mockingbyrd set pumps out party anthems like ‘Good Time’ and their ode to Melbourne’s iconic Esplanade Hotel ‘Never Go Home’, then they rip into bottom heavy stomping tracks such as ‘I Smell Rock & Roll’.
Recently returned from a run of shows with Thirsty Merc on their 'Shifting Gears' tour, as well as support slots for the likes of Twelve Foot Ninja, Baby Animals and The Superjesus, throw in a tour of The Middle East performing for the troops and, this band is in great company.
