JOSH GROBAN - Second Sydney show announced

Tickets for Josh Groban’s national tour went on sale this morning with his Sydney Opera House show selling out shortly after.

Due to overwhelming demand, Groban will perform a second Sydney Opera House show on Wednesday April 24. Tickets for this second Sydney show, and all other shows, are on sale now.

The LA native said of the new album: “I wanted this to be soulful, wanted it to be righteous and dynamic and inspirational and energetic. And mainly wanted to find the sweet spot of my singing voice again. I always find it on tour”.

In addition to his passion for music, Groban enjoys a budding acting career with comedic roles in The Office US TV series and the hit film Crazy, Stupid, Love., along with guests appearances on Glee and The Simpsons.

Don’t miss your opportunity to hear the powerful voice that has touched so many, Josh Groban live in concert.

Groban will be joined by an ensemble of world class musicians - featuring Andre Manga on bass, Ruslan Sirota on keys, Pete Korpela on percussion, Tariqh Akoni on guitar and Dave DiCenso on drums - plus a local eight-piece orchestra when he embarks on his April 2013 Australian tour, in what will be only his second Australian tour following a stellar sold-out debut tour in September 2007.

“It is with great excitement that I announce my upcoming New Zealand and Australian tour. The fans, the venues and the overall beauty of the countries make them destinations I look forward to bringing my music to, time and time again”, said Groban of his forthcoming tour.

Fans can expect stunning renditions of tunes from throughout Groban’s hugely successful recording career beginning with his 2001 Australian-platinum self-titled debut album, twice-platinum ‘Closer’, ARIA top 5 ‘Awake’ and 2010’s ‘Illuminations’.

On February 1 Groban released his brand new, sixth studio album, ‘All That Echoes’ (through Warner Music Australia), featuring lead track ‘Brave’ and Stevie Wonder cover ‘I Believe (When I Fall In Love It Will Be Forever)’.
