Chocolate Starfish releases new album -
‘Born Again Versions’
New album features old favorites that have been given a new lease on life.
Chocolate Starfish, one of Australia’s favorite rock bands of the Nineties, announces the release of a collection of re-worked tracks that will surprise and delight fans old and new.
‘Born Again Versions’ comprises ten of the band’s best-loved songs, which have been revamped (with particular emphasis on vamp) to reveal the multifaceted nature of the tracks.
“We have always toyed with our songs in various formats, both live and in rehearsal, so ‘Versions’ was a natural extension to record. As individual musicians, we have a diverse influence, so it’s great to bring some of those variations to these familiar songs,” said the band’s charismatic lead singer, Adam Thompson. “If a song can stand the rigors of a rework and still hold up, then hopefully it has the hallmarks of a good song.”
The recently reformed band upholds its reputation for high-energy, engaging shows, and though the songs on ‘Born Again Versions’ are pared back, the band promises that their performances won’t be.
“Some of these versions will appear as part of our rock performances, while at other times they will completely stand alone.”
Chocolate Starfish will perform ‘Born Again Versions’ at select venues; the album is available for purchase at shows and via the band’s Facebook page.
