BABY ANIMALS are back in the ARIA charts with THIS IS NOT THE END

Iconic rockers the Baby Animals are back with their first studio album in twenty years, and now back in the ARIA charts! Released via new Australian label Social Family Records on May 31, This Is Not The End made its chart debut at number 19 this weekend and at number 3 on the Australian Album Chart making it the week's highest local debut.

"Somehow cracking the top twenty this time around feels better than hitting number one all those years ago. When people tell you it can't be done, it can, and you can do it your way, " said Baby Animals enigmatic singer, Suzie DeMarchi.

It's been more than two decades since the band first stormed the ARIA charts with their self-titled debut album, which spent six weeks at number one. This Is Not The End is a return to classic Baby Animals form. Suzie DeMarchi is joined by talismanic guitarist Dave Leslie along with Dario Bortolin on bass and Mick Skelton on drums. The album was produced by ARIA award-winning producer David Nicholas (INXS, Ash). Nick DiDia (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots) also lent his considerable skill on the record’s first single Email and soon to be released second single, Stitch.

"A top 20 debut after a 20 year absence is a remarkable result for the Baby Animals. Suze and Dave, along with Mick and Dario, have delivered BA fans with a brilliant album, and this is recognition of their hard work. We congratulate them, and look forward to seeing where the music, and this album, takes them. This is certainly not the end, but a new beginning for the Baby Animals," said Jake Challenor, Managing Director, Social Family Records.

"Our fans are really, really great," said Suzie DeMarchi.  "They make it all worthwhile and we can't wait to see them all on the road over the next few weeks and months, taking it to the streets, woo hoo!"
