The Kid’s Gone Country by Amber Lawrence hits shelves today. As Amber’s first concept album, it’s aimed at children up to around the ages of 9 or 10, and was influenced by Amber’s country music roots. Containing 15 brand new original kids songs, written or co-written by Amber herself, the themes within the album include family, love, food, country life, Australia, acceptance and FUN.
It’s always been apparent that a large portion of Amber’s fan-base was made up of children, so writing and recording The Kid’s Gone Country was a somewhat natural progression for the award-winning artist. Amber has always loved having children attend her shows and has always had an underlying theme within her music that resonated with young people – her own nieces and nephews even featuring as backing vocalists on the album and appear in the accompanying video clips.
The Kid’s Gone Country is poised to fill the demand for country music for children, as well as providing enjoyment for parents and grandparents, with many of the tracks already receiving support from country and children’s radio.
