Australian music has been well and truly thrust onto the global stage in 2014 and for the first time the ARIA Awards will be broadcast to millions throughout Asia via Fox International.

Whilst Telstra Album Of The Year recipient, Sia was not in the country to accept her multiple awards (Telstra Album Of The Year, Best Female Artist, Best Pop Release and Best Video), international superstar, Katy Perry entertained the fans delivering a truly memorable moment when she accepted the Best Female Artist ARIA Award on behalf of Sia.

Guests at The Star Event Centre, Sydney and the fans watching on TEN were treated to a performance from multiple 2014 ARIA Award recipient (Best Male Artist, Best Independent Release and Producer Of The Year) Chet Faker delivering a soulful rendition of ‘Talk Is Cheap’.

Chet Faker, who was presented his Best Male Artist Award by 2013 Best Female Artist ARIA Award recipient, Jessica Mauboy who performed her ARIA Top 5 hit, 'Can I Get A Moment'. They were joined on this year’s phenomenal line up by a raft of 2014 ARIA Award winners, including 5 Seconds Of Summer (Song Of The Year) who have had a sensational week also winning an American Music Award (AMA) for Best New Artist. Sheppard (Best Group) were joined on stage by Melbourne Ska Orchestra for a rousing rendition of their triple Platinum single, ‘Geronimo’. Hilltop Hoods (Best Urban Album) had the crowd on their feet for their ARIA Top 5 single ‘Cosby Sweater’ and Dan Sultan (Best Rock Album) truly rocked the room with his performance of ‘Under Your Skin’. The two legends of song, Paul Kelly and Neil Finn (Best Adult Contemporary Album) delivered a glorious ending to the 2014 ARIA Awards Connected By Telstra with their sublime performance of ‘Don’t Stand So Close To The Window’ and ‘Four Seasons In One Day’.

ARIA CEO Dan Rosen said:
