THE McCLYMONTS, THE DRIFTERS, JONNY TAYLOR and more to headline EL CABALLO's Country Music Fiesta

Country music fans are in for a massive treat the first Saturday in November with an incredible line-up of music royalty performing as part of the Country Music Fiesta at El Caballo Resort. The family-friendly event features something for all ages and all music types. This incredible bill features the likes of country music sweethearts The McClymonts, iconic vocal legends The Drifters featuring Billy Washington, Australia’s Got Talent finalist Jonny Taylor, Moira J. Scott performing an amazing tribute to Patsy Cline and children’s supergroup The Outback Aussie Show.

El Caballo Resort managing director Matthew Pavlinovich says the event will be an affordable day out with a variety of quality entertainment for all ages in a friendly atmosphere. “We have realised that nobody is catering for country music entertainment for families,” he says. “We have them put together a variety of top artists whose music will entertain everyone. The event will take place in our new lawn amphitheatre, which has been described as an intimate outdoor venue.”

The McClymonts don’t need an introduction to country music fans. The sister trio have been earning acclaim on the Australian and international scene since their debut album Chaos & Bright Lights in 2007. Since them they have won more accolades to count, including ARIAs for Best Country Album in 2010 for their second long-player Wrapped Up Good and 2012 for their third album Two Worlds Collide. They also picked up eight Golden Guitars and an APRA Award, cementing their reputation as Australian country music darlings. Fast forward to 2014 and The McClymonts are back with their fourth album Here’s To You & I. Well reputed for their incredible harmonies, vibrant performances and stage banter, the McClymont sisters certainly know how to put on a show. Fans of any music genre will be captivated by The McClymonts as they headline El Caballo’s Country Music Fiesta.

In the history of popular music, there are few vocal groups who qualify as legendary members of the Hall of Fame, but The Drifters are such a group. They are an institution and have remained popular for over 50 years. The Drifters longevity is almost without parallel. Over the years several famous singers have moved in and out of the group, including Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King. Billy Washington now leads the group with its original recollection of the sound that pretty much every nation in the world is familiar with. Billy now in his 70s, first joined The Drifters in his early teens and is backed by an all-star band. The Drifters recreate the memories that have brought decades of hits that are still consistently used for movie soundtracks and television commercials. The group’s songs soared into the world-wide Top 10 on numerous occasions throughout the 50s, 60s and 70s. With an extensive back catalogue featuring the likes of Under the Boardwalk, Save The Last Dance For Me, Kissing in the Back Row, Spanish Harlem, Up on the Roof and There Goes My Baby to name a few, an evening in the company of The Drifters is an unforgettable experience.

Since landing a finalist position on Australia’s Got Talent, 2014 Star Maker Grand Finalist Jonny Taylor hasn’t stopped working. In fact, he is fast earning the reputation as one of the hardest working young artists on the Australian music scene today. The West Australian born musician has spent the past few years on the road, playing to fans around the country and cutting his teeth the ‘old fashioned way’. Consequently, on stage, Jonny’s live show is incredible. With a strong, deep voice, his songwriting and effortless musical style earn him acclaim wherever he goes. He won Best Male Artist, Best Independent Single and Best Independent Album at the 2014 WA Country Music Awards and it’s evident that this is just the tip of the iceberg for the success that is yet to come for this talented musician. His upcoming performance as part of the Country Music Fiesta is guaranteed to earn him even more fans of all ages.

The Outback Aussie Show is the newest supergroup for children. With high energy and high participation songs performed by naturally gifted entertainers Jess and Dan, the Outback Aussie share songs about their homeland. Everything that inspires songs about Australia feature in this incredible bands’ catalogue, from kangaroos, koalas to our great beaches. It’s not unusual to see children on their feet dancing from the first song (and parents joining in). The supergroup have already made a huge splash in the US, with celebrity mums and dads such as Brooke Shields, Gwyneth Paltrow and Jerry Seinfeld, to name a few, hosting the Outback Aussie at their childrens’ parties. The group were also invited to perform in the US during a visit by Princess Mary of Denmark. These are all pretty huge endorsements for this amazing group. Children and adults will delight as the Outback Aussie show takes to the stage at the Country Music Fiesta.

The Country Music Fiesta is a fantastic day out for the whole family. It also features free children’s entertainment such as pony rides, bouncy castles, face painting, a bucking bull, animal farm and carnival foods such as fairy floss and popcorn.

The El Caballo Resort also offers accommodation packages for the Country Music Fiesta. Caravan and camping sites are also available.
