Following the recent devastating bushfires burning out of control in western NSW, country music artist,Jason Owen, who grew up in the region, immediately put up his hand to be involved in donating to assist those affected by the devastation, and in support, Social Family Records will match his donation, with profits from every sale of his album, “Proud” via iTunes from 1st to 14th March, 2017, going to theSir Ivan Bushfire Appeal.
The Sir Ivan fire has so far burnt through 50,000+ hectares, all but wiping the small village of Uarbry off the map, claimed numerous homes, livestock, buildings and other farming machinery and assets have been destroyed. Funds raised will help the locals and farmers get back on their feet with the basic essentials, as well as helping them get back to work and assisting with their livestock.
