GOOD FOR YOU AT RADIO NOW
Good For You is the 4th single to be lifted from Jason Owen’s all original album, Proud. Written by Clive Young, it’s an upbeat, good times, “get your boots on” track, showcasing Jason’s outstanding ability to deliver a country song in all its might.
Proud, Jason Owen’s 3rd album, was released in May 2016, with the first two singles Run and Proud(featuring Christine Anu), solidly supported at country radio and by CMC, with Run coming in as the 10thmost played country track for 2016. Jason has also recently been nominated for New Oz Artist of the Year for the 2017 CMC Awards. His career on the rise, another album is slated for release mid this year.
Just as Jason’s previous music video for My Last, Good For You was also shot in his hometown of Albert, 141km’s west of Dubbo, NSW. Directed and produced by Paul Stefanidis and Irene Panas (CMC Video award winner) Good For You features Jason and his band performing outside the iconic Rabbit Trap Hotel, which Jason’s father Neville Owen owns. In fact, it was Jason's father and grandfather (known as Pop to everyone) who saved the town of Albert many years ago from being wiped off the map. They built a fuel station and fuel distillery as a West NSW fuel provider. The Rabbit Trap Hotel (which has featured on TV) is a well-known place for travellers on-route throughout West NSW to stop over. The video also features an old double decker bus which sits on the road welcoming everyone into the town. The Albert Bus originally comes from Scotland and has travelled around the world.
