Experience the music that shaped a generation – THE ABSOLUTELY 80S SHOW coming to the Wonderland Spiegeltent this November

ONE NIGHT ONLY –          FRIDAY 14TH NOVEMBER 2014 –        TICKETS ON SALE NOW

The biggest and best names of Australian 80’s music are coming together for one massive show at the Wonderland Spiegeltent this November. Absolutely 80s is a reunion party not to missed that will see crowd favourites Brian Mannix (Uncanny Xmen), Dale Ryder (Boom Crash Opera) and Scott Carne (Kids in the Kitchen) performing all their smash hits that have made them household names. The show is to the backing of an all-star 80’s band which includes members of The Black Sorrows, Extreme and Big Pig!

The Absolutely 80s show has been proving that this wonderful decade is still alive and kicking, selling out venues across the country since the concept was created in 2010. It was derived from the success of the sold-out Countdown Spectacular and is a two-hour extravaganza of epic 80s fun and flashbacks. This isn’t a tribute band, it’s the real deal featuring the very best of Australia’s 80s idols sharing the stage in one monstrous show.

Dale Ryder formed the iconic Boom Crash Opera back in 1985 and they enjoyed instant success with the self-titled debut album peaking at number five on the ARIA charts. They also had a number one smash hit with the single Great Wall, while the hugely popular Onion Skin continues to fill dance floors and is set to get the Wonderland Spiegeltent rocking! The bands popularity continues with a dance remix by Hook & Sling of their hit The Best Thing recently entering the charts.

The Uncanny X-Men were one of the hottest bands on the live music circuit in the 80s due largely to exploits of extroverted front man Brian Mannix. His spandex tights graced the stages of some of the biggest venues in Australia including packed houses at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion and the famous Festival Hall in Melbourne.

Kids in the Kitchen were one of the biggest bands of the 80s thanks to their double platinum debut album Shine and five top 10 singles including Change In Mood, Bitter Desire and Current Stand. Scott Carne helped the band lead a new romantic movement in Australia which saw them signed to Warner Brothers’ record label Sire Records. They also joined Madonna’s management company.

For those who are true lovers of 80s music and keen for a high-powered dose of nostalgia, this show is not to be missed!
