DIANA KRALL

In concert with the

Sydney Symphony Orchestra & Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

Multi-award winning, world-renowned Canadian jazz artist, DIANA KRALL, brings her extensive songbook and unleashes her smouldering brand of jazz music for a very special set of concerts this February.

Returning for her third Australian tour, Diana will appear in Sydney and Melbourne accompanied by a 42-piece orchestra - the Sydney Symphony Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House and Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Art Centre Melbourne’s Hamer Hall - lead by her long-time conductor Alan Broadbent.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am this Friday, December 6. My Live Nation members can be amongst the first to secure tickets during the pre-sale beginning midday Wednesday December 4. Become a member at www.livenation.com.au Diana Krall is a three-time Grammy© and eight-time JUNO© award-winning artist with a recording career spanning ten studio albums and worldwide sales of more than 15 million albums. Debuting with the 1993 independent Canadian release Stepping Out, after signing with Verve in 1999 Diana released her fifth record When I Look in Your Eyes garnering her first Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal.

In 2002, the album The Look of Love became a #1 bestseller in the US and a five-time platinum album in Canada. 2004’s The Girl in the Other Room was her first album to focus on her own song-writing (with six tunes co-written with husband Elvis Costello), followed by 2006’s From This Moment On which was an upbeat, critical success that coincided with the birth of her two sons.

Diana Krall's 2009 Grammy© winning album, Quiet Nights, used Brazil as a musical point of reference and landed at #3 on the Billboard 200, her highest ever position on the chart and her fourth consecutive album to debut within the top 10.

Diana’s most recent studio offering, Glad Rag Doll, is an exhilarating and adventurous exploration of new sounds and instrumentation filled with mischief, humour and a renewed sense of tenderness and intimacy.

With a long history of extensive touring - playing shows with k.d. Lang, Tony Bennett and Ray Charles - Krall will create a truly breathtaking experience for Australian audiences, accompanied by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
